Banana Bread Recipe
Y'all I'm not gonna lie I've been on a recipe kick lately FOR REAL! I love cooking and baking and trying new recipes, but I also love tried and true recipes. Well, this is one of them. This is the banana bread that my mom makes at home and I loveee it as a fun breakfast or afternoon snack when I make a fresh batch!
Let's get into it shall we...
Ingredients
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
4 overly ripe bananas
2 eggs
1/2 cup butter
1 tsp baking soda
dash of salt
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional, but ya girl loveeees pecans in her bread!)
1/2 cup chocolate chips (also optional, but who doesn't like chocolate...)
Instructions
Cream together butter and sugar in mixer
Mix in remaining ingredients
Spray 9X13 or 8X8 square dish with pam (yes I am serious about the dish haha.... I think the bread bakes so much better this way because the edges don't get overcooked and it all cooks evenly! Plus, Joanna Gaines gave me this trick so if you don't trust me, trust her lol)
Bake for one hour at 300 degrees (stick a toothpick or fork in the middle to see if it's cooked all the way through)
