2020 Word of the Year Reveal
Happy New Year!!! Can't even believe that it's 2020. A new year and a new decade are ahead of us and with that brings so much potential for blessings in our life! It can be easy to look forward and get overwhelmed with expectations for yourself and what others might expect from you. You may have new opportunities this year that you're afraid of what the outcome will be, or you're nervous that nothing will work out the way you dream them up to be - and that's okay!
Something I will say though, is that God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love and self control! So as you look into 2020 and the next decade ahead of us, visualize where you want to be and what you want to accomplish. Pray and ask God for everything you hope for, and then let it go. The only thing you can control is your attitude and effort!
As I was thinking about my word for 2020, I was getting stumped. There is a lot of change coming this year - I'm starting a new job next week (you can read about why I quit my job ), I'm gonna be traveling more, and I'm changing a lot with my blog structure, content and more! I have a lot of unknowns ahead of me and I am a perfectionist to the core, so fear of failure is always at the top of my mind. Not the kind of fear where I'm not confident in myself, but the kind where I am scared of not performing or excelling to the standard I would like. I wanted to choose a word that was strong, powerful and one that would inspire me to rely on God for my strength and to guide my path!
And the word that God put on my heart was... FEARLESS. What's funny is that I couldn't be more scared to choose that word hahah. It scares me that I will choose this word and then God's sense of humor is like "we're gonna make sure she's absolutely fearless by the end of this year!" Which is what I want, but I also don't want it to be painful!!! lol. I guess that's how God works though, we ask for guidance, He leads us in the right direction and we trust Him the rest of the way.

I'm excited and expectant for 2020. I believe that God is going to use these new challenges to grow my faith, strengthen my mindset and use the lessons in my life to impact those around me. I can't wait to walk through this year with you!!
