Valentine’s Gift Ideas
Every Valentine's Day I like to get creative in my gift giving. I don't like to buy actual presents since we just had Christmas and my birthday is in March, so I like to be more sweet and creative this time around :).
I love valentine's day because it allows you to get creative and show how much you love the people in your life! You can do these for your significant other, family member, roommates, whoever you want to show how much you love them.
Adam and I started dating Feb 1st of 2013 (6 years today!!!!), so Valentine's day was our first gift exchange as a couple :) Do you remember when you first started dating your boyfriend, and you didn't know what would be too expensive, or too cheesy, or not expensive enough?? Yeah me too, so I wanted to give a cute, creative and sweet gift that wasn't too over the top but still gave him butterflies ;). The cheesier the better!! And this kind of started our "tradition", if you will, of doing sweet romantic things rather than an actual gift!
I like to get inspiration from Pinterest and then make it my own. And remember, we did long distance for 3 years of us dating so I sent packages as my gift more often than not!
One year I did a "box of sunshine" where everything was yellow and happy.
Another year I did a punny snack box where I decorated the flaps and then put snacks and candy with cute punny labels on them. I unfortunately don't have pics but here was my inspo!
Adam gave me an "open when" gift box that had cards and random gifts in them (so sweet).
I gave him paint swatches once (all in the same color scheme, and wrote jokes or cheesy pick up lines on them).
You could do a jar of date night ideas (could be inexpensive ideas, date night in ideas, etc. - get creative!) We've never done this one, but thinking I might soon ;)
You can put sticky notes all over their mirror or car window all the things you love about him/her. Adam did something like this for my birthday one year :)
You could also make a really sweet breakfast/dinner and have a note written for him/her! I love to do this one because it's simple, yet shows you put effort in!
Tell me, what do you do for Valentine's Day gifts? Do you go all out and buy a normal gift? Or do you also like to get creative!?
