Thanksgiving Tablescape Ideas

Thanksgiving is upon us! This is my favorite time of year. Everyone's attitudes and moods seem to be uplifted during the holidays and as much fun as it is to do all the shopping and receiving gifts, I believe the main reason for this is because we are more focused on those around us! What better way to create hospitality and welcome people into your home than by having cute and easy fall decor and table scape.

You don't have to spend a ton of money to have the cutest table scape, just a little thought and creativity! I like to buy staple items that will last year after year, and don't have a specific "theme" to them and that can be repurposed for different events. For example, I love pattern mixing and using different plates. I like to use my as a base and add a fun salad plate on top for the season. My serving platters and cake plates are mainly white or neutral colored, so that I can add some fun color or themes to them. I like to also have a couple different chargers and place mats that are versatile as well.

Ideas for Fall Tablescape

1. Use small pumpkins as place holders: you can write names directly on pumpkins or tie a ribbon around the stem with a tag attached. You can use white, orange, gourds or even leaves!

2. Spray paint and use on the plates as place holders. This is a fun way to add some color to your table.

3. Use some sort of ribbon, table runner, or greenery down the table and add cake plates with pumpkins or pinecones on them as your center piece.

4. Layer things: Use a napkin with a monogram (no monogram is fine too) on top of the plate and you can even wrap cute ribbon or greenery around it. You can also use the napkin under neath the plate to add some interest and dimention to the decor.

5. Vintage glasses that are different colors for drinkware - you could start a collection over the years and it adds an element of fun to your table.

The possibilities are endless! The best part about it is that there is no such thing as a perfect tablescape. It's great, because you created it and are inviting people into your home. Don't be afraid to show your style and creativity and keeping it simple is okay! The most important thing is that you will be sharing that space with people you love.
